Aston Villa Transfer Rumours!

Aston Villa Transfer Rumours!

Ok, it is a slow news day, so having just looked on the BBC rumour site, I noticed a rumour from the Daily Mirror.

It is obviously full of facts and quotes and will definitely happen and be announced within the next 2 minutes or so by both clubs....or not.

Anyway, the rumour is that Martin O'Neill will re-visit the summer long link to Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz in January and will bid £18million.

The rumour goes on to suggest that Marlon 'the Hare' Harewood would be used as 'bait'.

There you go, that will seal it, how can Blackburn possibly refuse?

Roque has 2 Premiership goals with 7 starts so far this season for Rovers and unless I am very much mistaken (lets face it, highly probably) he signed a new deal with the Ewood Park outfit in the summer and was also joined there by his brother.

Meanwhile Brazilian striker Ronaldo is said to have pleaded with Manchester City to go back in for him now he is over his knee injury.

I hear it on very good authority (my mirror, not the mirror) that we will be bringing Michael Owen to Villa Park next year, although that could have a lot to do with the fact we play Newcastle United at home on the last day of the season!

Fear, you need to stop with this Oweness because someones gonna pick up on it and I'm gonna start believing it. Don't do this to me. A January full of Owen rumours with no Owen at the end of them is more than I can take.

Santa Cruz would be quite the buy, but just not sure he'd want to move away from sunny Blackburn...
