Pompey Ticket News

Surely we can make this a sell out?

Communication from Villa:

Martin O'Neill's men will need to be at their best as our next home match brings the FA Cup holders to Villa Park.

Portsmouth are our next Barclays Premier League visitors on Saturday October 18 (KO 3pm), when we will be striving for our first victory over the south coast club for two-and-a-half years.

The tough encounter is all about league points and Pompey undoubtedly boast some talented players, including former Villa men David James and Peter Crouch as well as England international Jermain Defoe.

The claret and blue troops need your support!

Tickets are on general sale.

Prices are £15 to £37 (adults), £10 to £37 (under-16s), £19 to £37 (young adults and students) and £15 to £37 (over-65s).

Should surely be a 40,000 plus turn-out, pretty close to a sell-out, if not I think that we really ought as supporters to start taking a long, hard look at ourselves.

Disappointing turn out I thought. I know and appreciate all of the tired old excuses, some of them of course legitimate, about not being in a position to attend games for this reason or that, but I really think that we need to be packing Villa Park better than that.
