Anyone know when the fixtures will be put up? Desperate for a european away game and this could be my best chance considering prices for travel. Hopefully Ajax away, kill 2 birds and get stoned.

How do you know it will be Hamburg & Prague away? I really would love it if the Ajax tie was away. I work in Amsterdam Monday to Friday and I was praying for this draw! The Ajax Arena is only 15 mins walk from my hotel too! Happy days!

07/10/2008 12:48:00 kit ! Hamburg- top of the bundesliga & undefeated at home. Slavia Prague - top of the league. Ajax - we all know about them , but they are not the force they used to be. 8th in the dutch league at present.

Teams From Pot 4 (ie VILLA). Game 1 home vs pot 2 ( Ajax) , Game 2 away v pot 3 (Slavia), Game 3 home vs pot 5 (MSK) and game 4 away vs pot 1 (hamburg).

What does that mean though, surely they just draw teams home and away? Do the teams decide where they play between them?

Martin O'Neill's men play Ajax at Villa Park on October 23 before travelling to Slavia Prague on November 6. We then face Zilina at Villa Park on December 4 before an exciting away day at Hamburg on December 17.

That's not a bad draw, I think we can win both home games and that would set us up nicely, with the possibility of some sort of away result.

Imperative that we win our home games and nick an away draw somewhere. Tough group but not the tougest out there. Who said the UEFA cup only has crap teams in it!?

Why do we call our league the strongest in the world, then worry about all of the foreign teams in the Uefa cup? Just a thought - something is wrong with one or the other side of this discussion.

Good luck with your group. We at Pompey have got AC Milan & gutted it's not at the San Siro. Never mind they will get a fright when they see Fratton Park. We also have a dutch team Heenreeven & they stuffed Ajaax 5-2 at the weekend. Another away to trip to Portugal, half an hour from where we just played last week. Groundhog day.

Happy with the draw but I imagine that it is not often, if ever, that 3 clubs that have won the European Cup are drawn in the same group.

Villan44, the Reperbahn in Hamburg has better women than Amsterdam, but it's a really boring city. As a Gooner whose travelled to Prague a few times a word of advice for those of you planning on making the journey, don't book a flight to Prague, fly to Brno. It'll be much, much cheaper and the train fare from Brno to Prague costs about the equivalent of a fiver. Plus, they have restaurants on the trains that serves Budvar and let you smoke like a chimney!
