'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Man Of The Match v Sunderland

Vital Villan, this time masquerading as 'that'll teach you JF' (although I've yet to ask him teach me what?) asked for your man of the match votes v Sunderland.

The resurrection of Stiliyan Petrov seems amazing from the pale imitation of previous seasons but he continues to show why Martin O'Neil kept faith in him (not to mention a total lack of choices anyway last season!) as the Bulgarian got 46%

Curtis Davies was next with 13%. He is going to just get better and better, no doubt about it he will break into the England team at some stage.

The Hulk, Jonny Carew got 9% as did Nigel Hokey-Cokey.

That left:

A. Young (7%)
Friedel (5%)
Laursen (3%)
Barry (3%)
Shorey (2%)
L. Young (1%)
Agbonlahor (1%)
Milner (1%)

Seems strange to get different results now, it seemed for 99% of the time for 2-3 seasons the only player to win the man of the match vote was Gareth Barry, now we have a bit more strength in depth, long may it continue!

No, lol, but for a few years it was Barry, Barry, Barry - and rightly so!
