Prices Slashed For Lovech

Aston Villa have again slashed prices for the upcoming UEFA Cup clash against Litex Lovech.

Responding to our somewhat hectic fixture list, and no doubt the inability of Gordon Brown to run the country from either Number 10 or 11 Downing Street, the club are making it as possible as they can for fans to attend yet another home match in quick succession.

Thursday's second leg against Lovech is not being televised, so this time round we have to watch Everton, Spurs and Pompey struggle should you be of the armchair variety, but for fans it's our third home match in eight days.

Effectively the tie is already over as we enter with a 3-1 advantage from the first leg, but as we saw Lovech can play good football and that Tom or Wellington chappie is a nippy little player. The club would still however love to get a crowd in excess of 25,000.

Adult tickets in the North Stand Upper and Holte End are a measely £10, and only go up to £15 if you want to sit in the Trinity or the Witton Lane Stands.

In the North Stand Lower, the club have introduced a deal whereby fans can buy FOUR tickets for just £20 and the wee little kiddies (U-16) can access all areas for just £5.

Head of Consumer Sales, Nicola Keye said:

"We realise it`s a big ask for supporters to attend three home games in eight days, even though we`ve made a really good start to the season overall.

"We pride ourselves at Villa on realistic ticket pricing and that`s even more important now given the current economic climate.

"The game is not being shown on television and with European nights at Villa Park holding a special place in the hearts and minds of our fans, we`re hoping they take this opportunity to create another fantastic atmosphere on Thursday."

Thank God we support a club that cares about it's supporters eh.

The Fear
Reducing prices for cup games is the way forward, thankfully it is something our own club have also latched on to thanks to fan pressure!

I did notice the red scum only had 26,000 for their last league cup match and both Old Trafford and the Emer*****es were below capacity.

I called up and managed to get my usual seat in the Holte today. Very happy after watching the QPR game from Trinity. Let's get behind the lads. What's a tenner? We're 3rd in the league and one game away from the group stages of the UEFA Cup. These are exciting times at VP. Why would you miss this?
Adam Deuce
Adam, for the answer to the question "why would you miss this" see QPR last week. 44% of the respondents just couldn't be bothered. Those same 44% could be bothered to respond to the survey and inflict their views on why we lost against QPR. You couldn't make it up could you??
voiceoftheholte
I think a lot of people will be attending hoping to see a rout, they may well be adisapointed.

I think there will be more than the QPR games, but I am sure many have better things to do than watch the club they love.

Expect a sell-out if we get the last 8 though!!!

Though you are almost home & dry, good luck anyway. We at Pompey are off on our first ever away game in Europe. Exciting stuff!!!
