Ozzy Extends Villa Park Stay

Ozzy has signed a new deal at Villa!

21-year-old Isaiah Osbourne has signed a new 3-year-deal.

Martin O'Neill said of the midfielder's deal:

'I am delighted Isaiah has signed. He has ability and great strength and his attitude has been fantastic this season. His contract was running out and we wanted to renew it. We think he has a future here and importantly, so does Isaiah.'

Should be interesting to see how he develops, I must admit I would think this season will see him go out on loan as we have a good few options in midfield who will surely be ahead of him in the pecking order? He was due a loan last season to Leicester City (if memory serves me right) before he picked up an injury which ruined the deal.

Speaks volumes for the lad's character. He's been on the fringes for several years and the fact he's willing to fight is a great thing when you consider the likes of davis/ridgewell didn't seem to have that same fight in them. (and could have been argued were brighter prospects than isaiah)

He's definitely got potential, now is the time to really see him step up to the plate. Lot of quality competition ahead of him, but hey! No one said that it was going to be easy.

He had that cracking game against Everton up at Goodison a couple of years back, when he floated in that cross for Chris Sutton's winner, but he's never really pushed on from there. Time for that to change.
