Lawro Says Villa Win v Baggies

Ok, it is pretty slow at the moment news wise, so instead of engaging my own brain (the problem is locating it) I thought I'd see what Mark Lawrenson was predicting for our clash with the Baggies.

Shock horror, the moustache once again backs Villa. I think he rates Martin O'Neill because more often than not these days, he predicts a Villa win, he even tipped us to win v Liverpool!

He told the BBC site he expects a 2-1 win to Villa away at the Hawthorns and added:

'It's a Midlands derby, Aston Villa have been strong recently and West Brom had a good home win last week, but I'm going for a Villa win this time. I'm delighted the Baggies got three goals last week because I was worried about where their goals would come from. I'm still not sure they'll stay up, scoring will remain a problem for them.'

He also says he thinks it will be a tight win but adds 'Villa are so good away from home because they have got so much pace in the team and on the bench too.'

So what score are you predicting? I'm going for a 2-0 to the Villa boys.

Hmm. Not sure I like Lawro tipping us to win. I'm fairly sure he puts a hex on us :o) Hope our boys don't read it anyway. The last think any prem team needs is to believe they only have to turn up to win. The lads need to go out with the right attitude or we're done for -- you can bet your boots the Baggies will be well motivated!

I agreed with Lawro this week, and should really have his job. That's the third result in a row I've got dead on.

Well, bugger me sideways and call me Mr Wrong of Wrongtown. Never mind, I'm very glad Lawro was right on this occasion - have a beer that man! :o)

Very definitely a closet Villan in his old age. BobThe Builder, I'll get in line to buy the man a beer too. Now that he's one of us, nothing is too good for him.

I guess the day he tips us to beat Liverpool will be the day we really know we have arrived. Laughing Lawro, he's the laddo.
