Vital Villa Poll Result On Joey Barton

Vital Villa asked your opinions on the links to Joey Barton last week. Not quite sure, I must have been bored!

Anyway, 57% voted that the player is a thug and if he was bought, they'd not attend.

23% voted scum, but I would attend games.

That left 16% imploring Villa, don't you dare!

3% thought he'd be a great signing for us, that would be the Newcastle fans wanting shot then!?

1% voted he'd be 'ok'.

I voted "Scum, but I would attend games", i would be shocked if 57% didnt go anymore, i doubt there would be that many missing, and if there was it would only be for his Home Debut. Cannot believe for one second that so many fans would turn their back on their club. Something I would not do for anyone, least of all this turnip.

Joey Barton the player on pitch can join us any time he wants. Joey Barton the complete package can ***** right off.

I voted for the wouldn't attend games option, more so to show my annoyance of the idea of signing him, I'm pretty sure I'd still go!
Villa4Europe
The man has no place in football IMO. He was barely on the pitch in Keagan's last game before he did his first dangerous studs up tackle, and he seems to revel in it. A bad boy, with no self control, you should steer clear I'd suggest

3% friggin berks..... Barton could come to Birmingham but not to our club.
col8
The blokes the biggest t**t in football. I hate the guy with a passion. Bullying teenagers??? Its not as if he's a decent player either. Give him a wide birth for **** sake. SCUM
medzy
I can not believe for a milli second that MON would even consider this for a milli second. He's a horrible, violent, nasty, warped, disturbed individual who has no place anywhere in a half decent society. As others have said a signing like this would undo all the good that the Acorns deal has done for our great clubs reputation. Thank god the transfer window is firmly shut.
Adam Deuce
And while the transfer window is shut, let's fit bars to keep the thug out!!
godzvilla
It's a real shame because an in form Joey Barton is what's required by both England and Villa - he's a very decent player indeed and an improvement on NRC and Petrov. However, I say no feckin way as it will all end in tears and disrupt the harmony and ethos of our team. I'm damn sure MON fell off his chair laughing when he read the rumour too. No way is there an element of truth in this, no way at all.
BEEFY
It is simply newspaper ********* they put 2 and 2 together and came up with a big pair of ********* on a page,***** joey barton i care more about the hairs on my arse crack than that****.
lerneravfc
i would rather contract a bout of herpes than have joey barton.
bobbyfett
agreed medzy, he is a *****er but not the worst in football. that little *****e ben thatcher is. Both should be locked up for the long haul
NorthcliffeBandit
We sure as hell dont need an attitude/temper/character such as Joey Barton here at Villa Park. The scenario that comes to mind, is not a very pretty picture. I can only agree with Adam Deuce, I cant believe that MON would entertain such an idea for one brief second.

You're quite right Beefy, in that Barton is a decent footballer, a player who under normal circumstances would be a much sought after individual.
