Litex Lovech Travel Plans Announced

The club have released details of the official club travel plan to our away game in the UEFA Cup match against Litex Lovech.

Fans will travel with the team's official aircraft which will leave Birmingham on Tuesday September 16 with a departure time of 1pm.

The trip includes two night's accomodation at the 4 Star Yantra Grand Hotel in Veliko Tarnovo.

The official site describes the area as a cultural and historical centre of Bulgaria, with many historic sites of interest, and the town houses an 'excellent' choice of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Supporters will then be transfered by 'modern coaches' from airport - hotel - stadium - airport.

The official site explains the reason for the location.

Lovech does not have a hotel of suitable standard for the tour, nor the choice of shops and restuarants offered by Veliko Tarnovo.

Journey time from the airport to the hotel is listed at 30 minutes, whilst the journey to the stadium itself will be approximately 2 hours. The return to the airport from the stadium is judged at roughly the same time.

The cost for the official tour is £790 per person, based on twin room accomodations with a single supplement of £60 per person.

Match ticket, local taxes and all airport taxes are included in the tour price.

Fan will return to the airport directly after the match.

The tour is escorted by an experienced TMG sport tour manager.

The above hotel is also near the stadium. So my estimate is £300.00 + beer money, and with the most expensive Bulgarian beer costing £1.35 a pint and the cheapest at 35p you shouldn't need that much!

Just use! That's what I use when I travel Europe. I even have 2 girls from the UK staying with me now and 2 more from Lithuania this weekend! I don't charge them anything and I know people from Bulgaria put their apartments/homes up as well. I wish I could go so badly. I tried to fly courier service to Sofia but I've still not found a flight leaving around the same time.

2 girls from the UK and 2 from Lithuania?? Sounds like a fairly good plan LA Villan;) Bet it's like running a brothel lol. Free house to stay in Cyprus . . . females only . . . :)

los_angeles_villan, 2 girls from uk and 2 from lithuania. I'm sure you can't wait to get away. I feel for you man, It must be hard (inuendo) but sounds like you will just have to stay and get on with it. If you like I can come over and help ease the burden.(please)

Went to Bulgaria ski ing in January for 7 nights. 4* half board, transfers, ski pass and ski and pole hire all for less than £420 each for a party of 4. Seems that £800 for 2 nights is a litlle steep. However the choices are - pay it. Watch it on TV. Make your own way, which will be cheaper and almost definitely more fun. Or none of the above. We are all adults, we all have choice and nobody is forcing anybody to go on the club trip. And I haven't got a clue what firefox is and a cookie is best with chocolate chips.

Yes mister mick - it's a rough life I live. The English birds are quite cute, haven't met the Lithuanian ones yet though. Except they are Everton supporters!

Yes, if the price appears steep, which it normally is with official Villa travel, make your own way to the games. Thats what we used to do pre the trouble in Anderlecht back in '82, then after that season of course you had no option other than to use the official Villa Travellers Club. Go for it! You're only young once.

Lovech itself doesn't seem like much of a place, does it? Hey! I'm surprised that you find time to post on here los_angeles_villan, what with all those fillies hanging around. Sounds a great life you enjoy out there.

Wonder how many supporters we'll take out there for the game. No matter how many it is, all credit to them.
