A Young Production Line

A Young Production Line

Shamelessly stolen from the Vital Watford website, and some of you will have seen this before, but Ashley's brother Lewis thinks he's the better player.

Lewis Young is another bright talent coming through the Watford ranks and big things are expected from him, and not just because Ashley has done so well.

Lewis debuted for Watford in their 2-1 victory over Darlington and whilst he appreciates the pressure is on because of Ash, he wants to make a name for himself outside of any family connections.

Speaking on the Watford official site, he said:

'Having a brother like that, there's always going to be pressure but you have to put it to the back of your mind because otherwise you won't be able to focus on your own game.

'Obvously my brother is doing well but I just want to out do him.

'There are similarities, but we're definitely not the same - I'm better than him.'

Ash seems to have a very talented and confident family, and Watford are obviously doing wonders with their Academy. If Lewis turns out to be anywhere as good (if not better) than Ash, England's wing worries could be long over in the coming years.

i agree, sign him up! get a tribunal to make us pay a fee for him (like the Palace Bostock thing with Spurs) 700k for Ashley's (potentially) better brother? sounds good to me...

Lol I am sure if you ask Ashley who is better he will say "I am" its just sibling rivalry. Even Anton Ferdinand will think he is the better player lol

Well I like his attitude, he's certainly got the right approach, and all I can really say his good luck to the lad. He's certainly got an excellent mentor in Adie Boothroyd, and as long has his has the right attitude, the ability and determination, then maybe he can become a premiership footballer in his own right.
