The Majority Polled Expect More Villa Signings

Vital Villa asked, in our last poll, if you thought Villa would sign any more players.

51% voted yes, 2 more.

18% voted yes, 1 more.

17% believe no more, we are done.

That left 14% expecting more than two signings! Not sure what they are on but I'd love some of it, you just can't beat a good dose of optimism and blimey, I hope and pray they are right!

Our latest poll asks what you think of the potential James Milner signing, great, good, average, poor or you'd prefer Shaun Wright-Phillips!

After watching him last night play for a club that he wants to leave (yes I know he was in the shop window), then yes please!

Hopefully we're not yet done as far as this transfer window is concerned, but Martin is cutting things pretty fine again. James Milner would be a tremendous acquisition, hopefully MON can clinch that one, but otherwise rumours are very thin on the ground. I do think we need another striker in, someone to give us options up front.

Shaun Wright-Phillips isn't a bad little footballer on his day, but his days are all too infrequent in my humble opinion. Is he really what we need out wide right? I'm not so sure he is, and believe that out of the two, Jimmy Milner is the far better option.

SWP is the more exciting player but Milner would be more reliable and his final ball is superior. I would imagine SWP is faster but I don't think that's something that we lack going forward.

There's no doubt, whatever happens, that as a club we have certainly splashed the cash this summer. Randy has not held back in supporting his manager, and despite the slow start to our summer spending, there's no doubt that we're not too far away now from where we perhaps need to be.
