Another Young England Hopeful
Luke Young has reiterated his desire to impress Fabio Heskey Capello and get into the England squad, but he knows his form for Villa has to be top notch for that to happen.
Young already has seven caps to his name and returned to the England squad for the Euro 08 qualifier against Russia but remained an unused substitute.
Now he hopes he can make his mark at Villa, and get himself back in the squad.
Speaking on the official site, Luke said:
'If I've got aspirations to get back into that squad, I'm playing my football at the right place.
'I had a lot of speculation last season with people saying I was performing well at Boro and that I perhaps deserved a chance then.
'My answer then was the same as now - I've come to a new club and first and foremost I want to settle to get into the starting XI week in and week out.
'Then I can go from there and get some consistency. If someone gives me a call I'd be happy to go.'
