Man City MotM Poll Results

Man City MotM Poll Results

No great surprises on the winner, but second place came from no where.

It was pretty obvious that in scoring a perfect hattrick Gabby would win the plaudits as Man of the Match against City, but personally I'm surprised Barry and Young didn't figure higher in the rankings.

Suggested by: The Start of a Good Season!
Agbonlahor (42%)
Petrov (36%)
Barry (6%)
A.Young (6%)
Friedel (4%)
L. Young (1%)
Laursen (1%)
Davies (1%)
Shorey (1%)
Reo-Coker (1%)
Carew (1%)

Petrov is the surprising punt there, but as many have said since the match, it was definitely one of his better performances. So maybe the vote was out of hope he would keep this form?

Latest poll before we gear up for Stoke is simply:

Carlos Cuellar Signing?

Great Signing
Good Signing
OK Signing
Bad Signing

I suppose with him not playing yet, this is mainly to judge the expectations we have of the player and how much we believe the comments that have come from Rangers.

I thought I was voting for Man Citeh's Petrov! You mean it was Stilian; can I have my vote back? I've just watched the highlights again on MOTD2 and I'm not sure that Stilian's name was ever mentioned.

Was I the only one who was really impressed by Davies? I thought he continued to show himself as a great buy and a corner stone of the Villa team for the next few years.

Came out of nowhere? Never. He was easily the best player on the pitch in the first half. Quieter in the secong but still performed. Did the simple stuff very well, just what we needed. Going by that game he's carrying on where he left off last season, all for to the good.

I voted for Petrov, forget Barry, this is the man to take us into the Chumps League, he is very talented and showed the right attitude on Sunday, proving the West Ham game and the last 5 games last season were no flukes, Petrov is the man!!!

Petrov ran the midfield especially in the first half and seems to have moved his sideways and backwards passing on to Sidwell. Curtis was quality and underrated and I think that Cuellar will be only starting when injuries or midweek games come into effect.

Petrov has had about 6 good games for villa and sundays was one.Hopefully now that we have competion in midfeild he will pull his socks up and give us some consistancey.I think now it looks like Barry will stay(i hope!) a dip in form for petrov would see sidwell come in and Barry move into Petrov's posistion.I would start Petrov against stoke as he has earned it by playing well but at least we have other options now.

I'd agree Petrov should have been up there, he was greatly improved.

yeah i voted for petrov, he was great on Sunday. He was out-barrying barry for ball sticking to feet-ness. It was almost like MON said to him "go do a barry impression" and see what happens.
