Gabby Agbonlahor as a fellow Villan, has dedicated his opening day hattrick to the fans and he was delighted it came in front of the Holte End.
Speaking the day after his first professional Villa hattrick the flying forward stated that he 'just want(s) to keep scoring for the fans.'
Which if you think about it is quite nice, because we want him to keep scoring aswell!
Speaking on the official site and not at all 'worse for wear' (although personally I'm sure he had a hell of a celebration last night) he praised the fans for their support and was quick to pass praise onto his fellow team members.
'It was great to score three at the Holte. There was nearly a full house and the fans showed their commitment to the team.
'We need that sort of support. That's what helped us in the second half - and we repaid their faith with four goals.
'If you look at Ashley Young and Gareth Barry, they were two of the best players. It's nice for them to set up the goals for me.
'I wasn't really nervous when I went through for my third goal. Micah is pretty quick so I knew I had to get in there as quick as I could. I did that, and it was nice to see it go in.
'As a striker, it's always good to score so to start with three goals is great. I just hope I can continue.'
The day was further completed for Gabby by the fact that his hattrick helped us to our first opening day victory since 2004.
'We just wanted a good start. It didn't really matter whether we won 2-1 or 1-0; we just wanted to win the game.
'It is not about who scored - winning the game is what matters.
'John Carew scored a good goal. With his height, if he gets that service week in, week out, no-one can stop him.'
