The Hulk Extends Stay At Villa

Villa have announced that John Carew has signed a 12 month extension to his current deal.

The Hulk, who has 17 goals in 46 games since moving from Lyon in exchange for Milan Baros, has therefore committed (as much as any contract committs these days) to Villa until June 2011.

Great news for me. If him and Gabby continue playing together they can only improve as a pairing, and with Young and the possible addition of Milner, he shouldn't be too short of service to up his goal tally.

Great news thats he has signed a new contract! On his day, he is a handfull for defender, if he can stay fit throughout the whole season, i reckon he could get 20goals for us!

What better news to put a smile on my face before the big match tonight. Is there still time for MON to announce we've signed Milner before the kick-off..?

yes I'm pleased with that, I'm not sure about 20 goals a season but with a lot more games this season I'm sure he'll rattle in a few, more importantly his experience will be great for gabby and some of the younger players in the squad.

B6_COMPANY; Obviously big John Carew wasn't the player at Lyon he is now. That has to be down MON's influence. John Carew has the makings to be a legend. Although he has made a big impact at Villa I would still like more goals from him. With the addition of more goals he would indeed be a Legend!
