How Do You Feel About Villa's Upcoming Season?

Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by Tez86,

How do you feel about the upcoming season?

50% voted: Worried - we should have the signings by now!

25% were concerned but felt we'd be fine if we make some signings!

11% are bricking it apparently!

9% were far more upbeat and voted 'very positive, will be best season for years.'

That left 3% voting 'Ok - Maybe lower in league but we have Europe' and 2% fairly positive - we will match last years perform (2%)

I think, if my little brain remembers, I'll do this one again once the transfer window is complete!

It will be another good season IF we get the five new players we need across the defence and midfield. We cannot assume that Barry will still be here so the key is who is brought in to replace him. With a further two players is could be a very good season. With these on board it will give our very promising youngsters a chance to mature without too much pressure. Here's hoping!

At this point in time I remain a tad bit concerned, for the very reason that the majority of supporters have doubts and worries. The squad simply isn't up to the task of a long, hard campaign, particularly not with the added involvement of competitive european club football.

Shorey and Young haven't been bought to play for us in the Champions League ric112, they have been brought into the squad to help us step up to the next level, achieve at least a top six finish again, and two help solve two problem areas in the current squad. Its a long involved process, and we're a million miles away from Champions League football. We're still building, step by step, this is no overnight job.
