I'm starting too get annoyed with Sky now. They have already cost me the Liverpool Game!
leelindsay
It's nothing to do with Sky. "NB; This game has been moved to Sunday August 17 as a consequence of our progress in Europe." Sky don't transmit matches at 3pm on a Sunday.

I guess you have to be careful what you wish for. We wanted European football, we've got it, and now there probably wont be a saturday kick off in sight!!!

I can't wait for the thursday night home matches at VP in UEFA. Might try and steal off to an away leg as well. Never been abroad with the villa - would be fun.
The Usual Suspect
me to im annoyed because my birthdays on the 16th and im usually lucky to

Fewer and fewer 3pm saturday games will unfortunately limit my attendance at VP (not that it has been particularly great) but Kids sporting activities on a Sunday and working 7.00 to 5.30 during the week is a bummer allied to 4 and a half hours of travelling rather dictates

I said last year if we progress in Europe you can kiss 3pm on Saturday goodbye. Not that we had many of those anyhow. So as fans we either go with the flow and support the club or we demand that we finish lower in the league so that we are not inconvenienced by European football. Take your choice. Me? Bring on Europe all the way to Istanbul in May. In reality, less people work on Sunday than they do Saturday, so attendances should actually go up. There will always be some disaffected, but it is a fact of life. It is 16 years since TV took control of football so only those who have been going longer than that remember regular kick offs at 3pm on Saturday. Anybody who has become a fan in the last 16 years is accustomed by the varied kick off times and possibly are happy that it is not always 3pm Saturday. I have been going since the late 60's and actually prefer 5.15 kick offs on a Saturday (Sky Sports in the pub before the game for results, straight out on a Saturday night after the game). Sundays are OK but I hate anything (Saturday or Sunday before 3pm).
voiceoftheholte
Yes. very little 3pm Sat games.
storagematt
well sunday and midweek games are all very well if you live in Brum and I accept that most villa fans do. But I haven't for a long, long time and its a real pain in the **** travelling on a sunday and I cant even think of midweek games. But at least on a saturday the misses is happy shopping for shoes, handbags or the like in the Bullring (not that I'm sexist of course). But if there were more 3pm saturaday kick offs I would without a doubt at be more games.
tonybrum
Well I never thought I'd say this but great, the more Sunday games the better this season. It will mean that we are enjoying a successful run in europe. That after all is the name of the game. 3.00 p.m. Sunday kick off's please.
glensider
I live in Stockport these days, so about 90 mins away, but i'm used to the travelling now, as long as the M6 behaves itself, that is! As has been said, it is the price for progressing in Europe, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one casting envious glances at the likes of Spurs, Bolton & Everton last season, wishing it was us.
behind the dugout
I think thats the right attitude behind the dugout, well said. For success, I think we are going to have to accept some inconveniences. We can complain of course, but no one's going to listen.
glensider
Is the game going to be shown on TV?
