Man Of The Match - Villa v Odense BK

Vital Villa asked for your man of the match votes for Villa v Odense BK and by jove we got them!

Controversial figure Gareth Barry won with 43%. He did show he was a cut above and exudes quality, lets just hope the reception he got (if not the lack of bids!) means he will now stay!

Ashley Young, scorer of the winning goal, which lets face it was an absolute screamer, was second with 37%

That left Skipper Nigel Hokey-Cokey with 8% and Stuart Taylor who pulled off one magnificent reflex save with 7%

Others:

Bouma (2%)
Sidwell (1%)
Petrov (1%)
Carew (1%)
Agbonlahor (0%)
Knight (0%)
Laursen (0%)
Gardner (0%)

Our latest poll asks who you would have as captain.

Barry deserved the award. He played well and acted professionally throughout, just as he had done at Walsall. Superb goal from Ashley - but I wish he'd stop going to ground every time he's challenged.

Pleased that Stuart Taylor got a mention in there. It cant have been easy for him lately, yet he's carried on doing his job without causing a scene, and lets be fair, that one save kept us in the game. Good luck to him, whatever the future holds.
