Deano Backs MON

Deano Backs MON

Dean Saunders saw Villa triumph in the intertwobob today, as the Welsh assistant manager was on commentary duty for Setnata.

Speaking on the official site just prior to the match, Deano stated that he believed MON had what it takes to build Villa into a Top 4 club.

'Martin is doing a fantastic job and is only a couple of names short of having a really top team.

'It goes without saying that if you want to be fighting for trophies and a place in the top four, you want the best players possible at your club.

'Too many clubs seem to have given up on cracking the top four, which is wrong. Villa need to be in Europe. They are moving in the right direction and it would be great to see them back up there again.'

3 weeks till or first game of the Premiership - plenty of time for the required players to arrive now. M'ON's focus will be on sorting out transfers now with the ITC out the way.

Can you please not call it the Intertwobob cup. Thanks to this competition we're now in the UEFA cup.

Piper, sorry mate No. It's been the intertwobob for as long as I can remember and will continue to be such until it ceases to be a competition. Please feel free however to read it as Inter..... no I just can't do it.

I'll tell you what though, as far as backdoor entries go, winning this twobob thing always feels good!

Well it ceases to be a competition as of right now I believe. This was the last Inter-Toto competition. Speak as we find, it hasn't been too bad for us over the years. Certainly overall though, a much maligned tournament. Didn't one club go the whole way, through the Inter-Toto, and on to win the UEFA Cup? I think it was a French team, although I stand to be corrected on that.

A couple of names short of having a really top team though, is for us like being a million miles away. Its landing those two names that appears to be our problem.
