The Villa Transfer Thread - Part 6

Thread six on summer transfers, so over 1800 comments so far and no signings!

Not to mention 92 pages in the forum! Click Here

I can't keep talking about being the optimist and by the end of this thread we'll have more, so I'll go all miserable and maybe that will get the players flying in!

We also have Martin Laursen, who is surely at the top of list of candidates to become Villa captain, saying he believes Martin O'Neill will bring in the right quality players for the new season. 'Obviously we need a lot of new players because we've lost a few this summer. We definitely need some quantity and a lot of quality as well. I'm sure that the manager will bring in good players, so I'm not worried about that. It would be nice to get them as soon as possible so that we can build up a team but I understand it's not that easy. We want to try and take the best players. We want quality and quality players are not easy to get and you need to work a lot for them.'

We go further ahead again after MON had pulled one back. I think this could be a rout

friedel, bentley a solid right back and keeping barry imo will be a sucsessful offseason in addition to the sidwell and guzman transfers, hopefully a couple of the youth players will step up and add additional depth which is well needed....terrified by the new poll question by the way, answered dont make me think about it.
