Villa Lose Pre-Season Friendly v FC Zurich

Villa lost 2-1 to FC Zurich in the second of our pre-season friendlies.

The Swiss team beat us on two questionable penalties given by a lady referee. A lady? I ask you, women in football, whatever next?!?!?

Gabby Agbonlahor got on the sheet, Steve Sidwell made his debut with a 45 minute run out and

My man on the ground said that Salifou looked good in the second half and Nigel Hokey-Cokey looked sharp. As Martin O'Neill said, it is nothing to do with the results and all to do with fitness, especially as Villa prepare for next weekends Inter Toto game.

VILLA: Taylor, Sidwell, Laursen, Harewood, Agbonlahor, Knight, Routledge, Reo-Coker, Baker, Gardner, Maloney. Subs: Young (for Routledge ht), Carew (for Harewood ht), Williams, Delfouneso (for Agbonlahor 72), Salifou (for Sidwell ht), Petrov (for Maloney ht), Stieber, Albrighton (for Reo-Coker 90), Osbourne (for Baker 42), Parish.

MON should resign immediately etc. And Randy Lerner should borrow $48973489357638 against the club to spunk on booze, birds and keeping GazBaz in the reserves for a couple of years, just for a laugh.

This is a disgrace. MON should get in some reinforcements as the current lot obviously cant hack it.

Funny you should say that Kuffit. I was doing a bit of research and apparently there is only one team in the English league who we have never beaten. WALSALL!!!! If anyone knows something different, i'm more than happy to be corrected. I hope i'm wrong anyway.

What's with the random order of the team sheet? I'm sat here trying to work out who we're playing at right back and it looks like Harewood's playing alongside Laursen!?
