Villa v Liverpool and Baggies v Villa On Sky

Sky have announced the first round of matches live on Sky Sports.

Sadly the home game against Liverpool has been moved to August Sunday 31 Aston Villa v Liverpool 4.00pm. The tinkers obviously know there will be feeling in that game if Gareth Barry completes his move, which to me is looking less and less likely!

September see's us face the Baggies away which has been moved to the Sunday at the stupid kick off time of 12 noon. Sunday lunch time, ffs, I ask you!!!

And that is currently it up to the end of November. I'm sure Sultana, Banana, Setanta, whatever will also announce their fixtures soon.

I think most of our fixtures will be on Sultana we never win on that channel.

I've got to admit I am well chuffed the Liverpool game is Sunday. I usually am very solid in support for Saturday 3.00pm kick off, but this change suits me great. Very selfish I know, but there you go!

I'm also pleased the Liverpool game has been moved because it was scheduled for the same day as my mates wedding.

just out of interest if you feel that barry's move to liverpool is becoming less and less likely, what will become of the boy??? surely he has burnt his bridges with you..
oxfordspur
barry can watch the team he wants to play for from the comfort of the villa bench

The Sunday lunch time kick off at The Hawthorns is absolutely ridiculous. The ill-feeling that was so apparent at the Villa-Albion games in the late 60's/70's/and 80's has now cooled somewhat, yet presumably the WMP still have a lot to say with regards to dictating the kick-off time, or is down solely to Sky? Whatever or whoever the reason, its a stupid time, inconveniencing the supporters who get off their rears and attend the games, while only meeting with approval from the couch potato brigade.

Guess we're going to experience a lot of Sunday games if we progress to the later stages of the UEFA Cup?
