Curtis Davies has felt lonely this summer at Bodymoor Heath, so he can't wait for the lads to return.
Davies is still on course for a September return from the Achilles tendon injury that ended his season, and he believes seeing the rest of the team in full flow will spur him on to recover quicker.
Speaking on the official site, the 'honest' centre half said:
'I've just returned from holiday and I started running just before I went away. While I was on holiday I kept it up and I've stepped it up from 20 minutes to 30 minutes and I'm looking to keep building on that.
'Once the lads come in, hopefully I can join in a few of the little runs they do. It will be good to see all the lads coming back in. With all due respect to Stephen O'Halloran and the other injured players, when you see the same four people every day it gets a bit boring for everyone.'
I think that is meant to be a joke before everybody claims dissent in the camp!
'I've been looking forward to everyone coming back because as soon as the football season starts it gives me that extra push to try and get fit and get playing again.
'I think I'm definitely still on target. I think I'll be ready to go outside soon and maybe start kicking a ball about.
'The way I feel right now, I feel good about the running I've done so far. Now it's down to the doctor and the physios to tell me and gauge what I can do.
'I'm sure I'll be annoying the hell out of them soon because the closer you get to recovering from a long-term injury, the more desperate you are to get back into action.
'I was expecting a stage where I hit a bit of a brick wall, but everything, touch-wood, has gone to plan. With the running I went from two minutes to 10 minutes to 20 and 30 straight away.
'I'm getting in the mood now where I want to get outside and go running with the ball - to see if I can run in and out of cones with the ball.'
Not really concerned if he can run in and out of cones myself, more interested if he can take the cones out of the game and come away with the ball.
