Knight Has Milan Memories

Knight Has Milan Memories

Nope not Baros, but Inter, and an honourary mention for Phil 'the penalty' King.

Zat Knight is already looking towards the UEFA Cup, even though Villa are 3 weeks off being able to seal that fate.

TPS Turku have gone through to the next round and face Odense, we face the eventual winners of that clash in a two legged round.

Speaking to the Mail, Knight commented:

"I used to stand on the terraces when Villa were in Europe. I remember beating Inter Milan down here on penalties. Phil King got the vital goal.

"I remember running on the pitch when we won to celebrate. I dreamed of playing in games like that. I always wanted to play for Aston Villa and achieved that dream when I signed from Fulham.

"Now I want to play for them in Europe and to do that would be a great feeling. But we have to make sure we get through the one round of the InterToto Cup.

"I think we would deserve to be in Europe proper. We were up there in the top six of the Premier League all season and often that is good enough to get you into Europe automatically.

"To let the chance go at the last minute would be very disappointing."

We already let that chance go at the last minute, the Intertwobob is a second chance that cannot be wasted.

Zat knight seems like a very nice person. and it's a big bonus that he is a Villa fan. but that still doesn't change that he is crap.

Great night. I remember sitting in the lower North Stand (which we did for european games) so the penalties were taken towards us.

I was front row of bottom tier of trinity road. I invaded the pitch and touched God after the final whistle! How many people can claim that! (PS Not in a gay way you understand.)
