Will The Credit Crunch Affect Your Villa Plans?

Will The Credit Crunch Affect Your Villa Plans?

Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by young_jonah, who was the best Villa captain during the Premiership years?

I'm glad to say the best man won! Andy Townsend got 41%. I have a huge amount of respect and admiration for Townsend and don't think we've ever really replaced his industry and leadership.

Olof Mellberg was next with 20% closely followed by Kevin Richardson with 18%. Looks like the beard beat the moustache by a whisker! WAHEY!!!

Gareth Southgate got 10% and current (?!!) skipper Gareth Barry just 8%.

That left Magic Merse with 3%.

Our latest poll asks if the credit crunch will hit your Villa plans this season and was suggested by Skeggy.

Personal circumstances mean I'll be in the opposite situation - it'll be the first time for four years that I'll be able to get a season ticket and afford to travel back to Brum for the majority of games.

Had to put season ticket on credit card. Got 0% on purchases til December so gonna pay it off £75 a month. Otherwise I'd have had no chance. Skint to feck!!!

I'm sure thje results of that poll would be very different if Gareth Barry had signed a new contract instead of revealing a desire to leave. As for the credit crunch, I work within several different markets and most areas aren't feeling it at all. i think it's been blown out of proportion. Things will calm down dramatically by the end of Autumn and we can all start racking up our cards again. SWEET
