Vital Villan Interviews - Mattyslost

Vital Villan Interviews - Mattyslost

Mattyslost's interview.

1 - How long have you been a Villa fan and how did you first get the Claret & Blue faith?

Got to be coming up 22 years now. Got my C&B blood through my Dad as he was born and bread in Sutton Coldfield.

2 - What was your first game?

I remember being on my Dads shoulders watching Dwight Yorke score against Wimbledon in a 2-1 victory. Remember it being the last home game before the Holte end was made all seated.

3 - What is your most memorable moment as a Villa fan?

Seeing us beat Man Utd 3-1 in the League Cup final.

4 - And the worst moment?

Losing to the Blues in my 1st ever Birmingham derby.

5 - Who are your favourite current Villa players?

Laursen, Young and Gabby

6 - Which former player/s are your ultimate heroes?

Paul McGrath and Ian Taylor

7 - Which player do you think was the worst to ever put on the team colours?

Milan Baros heart was never really in it for me.

8 - What is the best goal you have seen Villa score and which is your favourite game?

Best goal has to be Benito Carbones v Leeds utd in the FA Cup. Best game Villa 5 -1 Blues

9 - Best away ground visited?

Sad to say only Craven Cottage.

10 - Who would you like to see Villa sign this summer?

Arshavin - the kids got talent

11 - What are your predictions for us this season in the:
a) League
5th - 8th
b) Europe getting out of the group stages
c) Carling Cup Good run, maybe the final
d) Fa Cup Same as the Carling Cup

12 - What is your opinion of Martin O'Neill?

Can achieve great things at Villa. Hope he stays on after the 5 year plan to be honest.

13 - What is your opinion of Randy Lerner and the new board?

Excellent in doing what there doing behind the senses. Would like us to show real interest in high profile players bit like Spurs are.

14 - Where do you sit at Villa and are you a season ticket holder?

Holte End Upper and id love to be a season ticket holder. Anyone got a freebie?

15 - And finally (stolen without shame from Vital Arsenal!) if you could invite 4 people connected to Villa, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would they be? And you can add one bit of top totty as well to make the party go with a 'bang' ;o)

Peter Withe, Ian Taylor, Paul Merson, MON - Totty would have to be Taylor Rain (Google it but not at work lol ;o)

Yes, that was a good day beating Manchester United in the League Cup Final, particularly as we had been well written off by all but the most faithful of Villans. Will check out this Taylor Rain only after the wife and daughters have bid me goodnight - you never know, might just have to invite her to my little get together. Interesting comments Mattyslost, well done.
