Villa's Monday Transfer Rumours

Villa's Monday Transfer Rumours

Blimey the transfer window gossip must be quiet if reports have had to return to the often repeated and seemingly never true links to Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc. The report I read claimed Celtic would want around £10million for the shot stopper.

The Mail On Sunday reported that Villa will step up the chase for Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell now that the player has returned from his holiday in Dubai. They price the player around £5million. The 25-year-old is also wanted by Everton and Middlesbrough but this report claims a 'source' close to Villa (HP?) being confident that we'll get the signature of the former Reading player.

Other reports are suggesting we've told Liverpool if they want to land Gareth Barry not to pursue our reported target, Blackburn winger David Bentley. What a total load of pants!

The Daily Mail claim that Villa will need to pay around £8m if they are to sign Anton Ferdinand from West Ham this summer. Curbishley is understood to be willing to sell the centre back but only at the right price.

And that appears to be it today. Yawn!
