Good point industrial-musical - does this mean a UEFA cup run will be on Setanta - seriously that would make me cancel Sky Sports and go for Setanta.

pretty sure all UEFA games will be shown on channel 5, until the knockout stages when ITV have the rights to show them. Setanta will probably only show the Intertoto games

the official blurb from UEFA's website: Live matches Free-to-air commercial broadcaster Channel Five has secured the exclusive rights to the first choice live match in each match week including the UEFA Cup Final as well as a comprehensive highlights programme. Additional live matches will also be broadcast by ITV 4 and Setanta, while each channel also has the right to show highlights.

I presume each channel will 'follow' a team, in previous seasons, Five had Bolton, ITV had Spurs for example.

Villa have to qualify before any TV channel will be looking to do a contract with them. Lets not assume the Intertoto is a done deal and Villa are through.

Just as a foot note:-- OB involved in several dramatic matches, including two close UEFA Cup matches against Chech side Sparta Praha. OB is eliminated from the UEFA Cup after losing to the Chechs on penalties. ....... Maybe they would not be the pushover people think they would be.

We got decent crowds during our last Inter-Toto venture. Good to be back on the european stage. Lets hope we enjoy a decent UEFA Cup run.

If we are victorious in our Inter-Toto game, we then I believe face a qualifying fixture for entry into the UEFA Cup. If we can make it to the group stage, then that will be a big step forward for the club.
