Nervous Or Excited? And Is £20m A Good Deal?!

Nervous Or Excited? And Is £20m A Good Deal?!

Vital Villa, in our last poll, asked: How are you feeling about the transfer window?

The majority said same as last summer, frustrated. 56%

23% were taking the longer view (!) saying they'll panic at the end of July if there are no new arrivals.

12% were chilled out saying there was plenty of time.

That left 6% very nervous and 3% excited.

I guess we need to bear in mind that not many clubs have done good business yet and although it would have been lovely to have seen a couple of quick arrivals, it isn't always the way the transfer windows work with most clubs waiting for others to make the first move to guage where the transfer fee levels will be. As I mentioned the other day, Portsmouth chief Peter Storrie said recently on their official site: 'We know our targets, we know exactly the positions and names we want. We're working on things, but June is a notoriously quiet time in football, with people away on vacation. I can't see too many transfers being done in the next couple of weeks.'

Our latest poll asks, if we got £20million for Gareth Barry, you would think of the deal?

People seem to reject the fact we could barely field a 5 a side squad never mind compete with Europe. I would admit if I was a pompy fan I wouldnt be worried they didnt have the smallest squad in the premiership last season, they have a right back and multiple GK oh and they havent released 5 players since the end of the season....I remember that is us!
