Gareth Barry's England Goal Will Stand

FIFA have confirmed that despite a dispute over the amount of subs used in the ill timed and meaningless friendly between Trinidad and Tobago and England, the goals and caps will stand.

There had been reports suggesting that all caps would be rescinded along with goals scored.

FIFA say they had no agreement with the FA for England to be able to make 7 substitutions but have put the matter down to an error by the ref.

Yup, good shout, if in doubt blame the man in black, unless you are blaming Johnny Cash, then you can **** right off!

So VILLA PLAYER Gareth Barry's cap and goal will count, as will Ashley Young's cap for coming on as sub.

Andy however, wasn't given a cap, it was just his surname.

Two meaningless, pointless games. Even the concern over whether goals and caps would count from the latter game hardly raised the excitement level.

Very valid point merlin. We expect the worst with that shower at the F.A. involved. Nothing is ever straightforward, or done as it should be.
