Who You Supporting At The Euro's?
Ok, news is thin on the ground and everyone is waiting for our first incoming player - like most teams are - so I thought, having seen a post by los_angeles_villan in our transwer rumours thread, that I'd ask.
With no home nations in the Euro's, which team will you be supporting?
Mine? I think I'll go for Portugal mainly because I'm off on holiday there, think the country is beautiful (and wonderfully clean) and the people are friendly. Oh, and as a team, they stand a chance! I was there when the World Cup was on and they were so excited in victory and noble in defeat.
I'll also be watching Holland to see if Bouma is playing and Sweden for Olof 'the departed bearded wonder' Mellberg.

Two other ex Villa playing in Euro 2008 are Baros for the Czechs and Hitzlsperger for Germany. No love particularly for the Baros though he did score against the noses, but I was a big fan of Der Hammer. The only way I can show any interest in this tournament thanks to the Wally with the Brolly is by having a bet.
And my cash is going on Spain. Surely they must eventually come good in a tournament!!

I'm up for France, I would hate to see Ronaldo lift the european championship as I cant stand his diving, I dont think Spain have the defence to win it, Germany are good but I think lack the passion so with Italy getting a bit old and Holland a shadow of their former self's plus not having Freddy as a first 11 player it had to be France.

I will watch towards the end if Villa players are on the pitch, I really cant be arsed. That may seem myopic but with England failing to qualify my attention span for the Euros will be very limited indeed.

I'll miss a good chunk of the euro's being on my holly's (well, visiting in-laws if that can be regarded as on my holly's?), so I doubt that I'll even so much witness a ball being kicked in anger. Let the show go on without me, I have no interest in it.
