Tuesday's Aston Villa Transfer Rumours

Tuesday's Aston Villa Transfer Rumours

Not that many rumours today, not that much action either yet in the transfer window - for all clubs not just Villa!

The Express & Star say Villa will have to pay around £6m to sign Chelsea's Steve Sidwell. Reports suggested Villa would pay around £4 - £4.5million for the 25-year-old midfielder but with interest also from West Ham, Fulham, Everton, Manchester City, Blackburn, Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough, the price will obviously go up! The report says Sidwell is surplus to requirements and his move is not dependent on a new manager coming in.

The same report says the future of supposed Villa (amongst a host of others) target Shaun Wright-Phillips is on hold until the new manager is appointed.

The E&S also repeat the links to both Newcastle winger James Milner and Spurs player Aaron Lennon.

The Star say Gareth Barry 'has made it clear he wants to quit Aston Villa'. Not according to him he hasn't he says he hasn't spoken to MON recently. Anyway, they go on to say we'll be getting Liverpool striker Peter Crouch as part of the deal.

The Liverpool Echo say Liverpool are about to increase their offer for Barry.

The Mirror claim West Brom are interested in taking Scott Carson on loan.

The Mirror also claim that Rangers have now joined the race to sign Villa striker Marlon Harewood, and another report suggests Hull City also want him.

Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is said to be interesting Aston Villa, Arsenal, Spurs and a host of other clubs that I got bored reading about.

No way, cause I just saw Ronaldinho taking a tour of Aston Hall...I heard Barcelona were going to offer him, deco and henry in a swap deal for Bouma. Haha. Maybe if we push it enough a rumour like that could appear in the Sun. Don't you love how the media twisted Barry's words so severely?

I did one years ago that got picked up by Vital Villan and myself, for the life of us, can't remember what the rumour was! Totally plucked out the air. This was when we were running this site as a stand alone.
