Villa Transfer Rumours Including Chelsea Winger

Villa Transfer Rumours Including Chelsea Winger

There wasn't a great deal of gossip around today and to be fair, I've had this lot ready to write all day and kinda forgot! Must admit I'm getting slightly bored of rumours, I think it is time for action!

According to his agent, Villa and Tottenham are after Sampdoria's Argentinean defender Hugo Campagnaro. Remember, this is an agent talking so he might just be trying to get attention for his client! He said: 'The negotiations with Juve are moving forward, but I must add that I plan a trip to England to consider the offers of some clubs. Aston Villa, Tottenham and a top club seem concerned.' Aston Villa, Tottenham AND a top club. Sod off, Aston Villa and Tottenham ARE top clubs, show some respect !

And you can tell the transfer window is now well and truly open because once again we've been linked to Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips. Yes, the same SWP that we nearly got last time on loan, the same one that has said recently he wants to see out his contract at Stamford Bridge. The report says that we'd be prepared to pay around £8million for him.

The same report also says Villa are again looking at former Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann who is available on a free.

Another report says that Roy Kean wants to take Shaun Maloney to Sunderland for a fee of around £4million. Errrm, can we seriously allow another player to leave? I don't think so!

Oh and more reports that a host of clubs want Marlon Harewood with the stories picking up on The Hare's agents comments that he is looking to stay at Villa UNLESS we bring in another top striker. BRING IN? You mean sign someone??? Never!!!!!!! Apparently his value is around £4million

Lets hope next week brings us some positive action and a few players incoming eh?!

Apologies, writer JP Fear, not the far more sensible Mr Wade! I was still in his logins after putting in Something for the weekend.

Why Merlin, do you not rate him or do you just think it is time for him to move on?

The Villa and Tottenham thing from the agent could be true, but the top club is blatantly not true, and is an obvious example of agent talk. "I'll name two clubs who are known to be big hitters in the Prem transfer market, and I'll just anonymously drop in an idea of a "top club". Cock. It does seem that we're going to be left with a squad of about 14 players soon. I remember MON saying before, we need to get players in before we let anyone leave...that's the biggest lie he's ever told. I saw the interview with Maloney, where he did look like he was pleading "come and get me" to Celtic, until something went off in his head and he changed his tone to "I'm a Villa player, and i hope to have a few more years at Villa". Seems like he does want out, but wanted to grasp an ounce of professionalism. As for the Hare, there's no point in getting the best squad striker we can hope for one season, to then get rid of him the next. His type are hard to come by...i doubt MON will let him go. As for action, we are beginning to get tetchy, but let's be realistic, it's not likely for any clubs to want to do business in terms of selling before the Euros when they can probably get more money after the Euros for players on show. And as for English talent, it's likely for one transfer to trigger a lot more off...for instance Dunne to us or Spurs, or something Barry to the new Scum...if he goes, Alonso goes, we buy someone, the team we buy from looks for another player, and so on.

Wright Phillips can't operate at Chelsea because he can't cross a ball and his shooting is sub-par. He will have maybe two or three good games a season but will need a run of games where he does nothing to get it.

Well said steve wade. Im sick of this top 4 *****e where anyone outside it is small etc. Like Chelsea are really bigger than Villa, Spurs or Everton. Just because they have a multi billionaire owner spending 650m on them they are no seen as a big club. its sickening and im sick of it. As for Barry i hope he stays with you guys, ***** them scouse *****ers

No transfer window would be complete with out the traditional SWP link, its like tinsel and crap presents at Christmas, traditional. Personally I will be glad when SWP retires from football and we can get linked with someone else on a regular basis.

I'm not a great fan of Shaun Wright-Phillips. We need a wide right player, give me James Milner any day of the week.
