The Hare Not Looking To Potters Move

Marlon Harewood's agent says that Stoke have enquired to Villa about the availability of Marlon Harewood following press links to the former West Ham man. (See earlier article Villa Striker Has No Shortage Of Suitors )

His agent, Phil Sproson said:

'Marlon has been linked with about four or five clubs but at the moment he's going nowhere. He's a Villa player and Martin O'Neill isn't looking to get him out of the building. That was certainly what came from conversations we had with Villa in January and nothing has changed ... unless Villa bring in another top striker. Things might change then.'

Adding, 'We know Stoke are interested in Marlon, but clubs like Fulham and Rangers are also interested, so it's a case of watch this space. If Villa were to say Marlon was surplus to requirements, there certainly wouldn't be a shortage of clubs looking at him.'

Wigan were also linked today.

Expect Stoke manager Tony Pulis to deny making an enquiry any day soon!

I would like to see the Hare stay at Villa. If we did sell he should be priced at more than we paid WHam. He's scored a couple of very valuable goals, turned games around for us. His value has only gone up since he's been here, and I think he'll get better under MoN.

I agree. Its been quite a season for Marlon, his journey from unwanted transfer body to popular impact substitute has been inspiring to see. Who'd have thought he'd become as popular as he did back when he cost us that away win at Tottenham? Not me for one.
The Usual Suspect
Keep him here. Replacing him would be very difficult, we're trying to build surely, not dismantle?

Despite his lack of starts, Marlon seems to have made enough of an impact in his brief time here, to be much in demand. Good Luck to him. He certainly silenced the knockers here.
