So How Many Players Will Villa Buy?

So How Many Players Will Villa Buy?

Our last poll asked:

How many players will Villa buy this summer?!

The votes were fairly split but the majority, with 37%, are expecting 5-7.

24% are more positive saying 8 or more, which to be fair, with the amount of departures we've had again, is surely the minimum needed if we are to try to challenge in the domestic and Uefa cup next season, we won't surely enjoy the same luck as we did last season with injuries?

That left 16% voting for just 4, 12% 2-3, 7% are even more unsure of arrivals voting that we'll get just 1. Finally 4% said 8.

Our latest poll asks if Villa captain Gareth Barry will be with Villa come next season following speculation linking him with Liverpool and Chelsea.

i honestly think we will be signing 6 players but none will be high profile due to MoN's vision of getting rejected players and molding them into super stars, as for Barry it seems unlikely he will stay due to his rappid change in to some kind of diva (and i hate saying it) but the lad thinks hes some kind of god now that these clubs have come in for him and is stalling for a reason.

I honestly dont know, haven't got a clue. We all know what we need, how many we need, and Martin and Randy obviously know better than most. But...recent excursions into the transfer market have left a lot to be desired, and there has to be serious question marks regarding our ability to bring in the required numbers, both quality and quantity wise. I'm just going to sit back, enjoy(?) the activity in and out of Brummagem B6, and hope that come August and big kick-off day, we're a considerably stronger force to what we were last season. Whatever happens, will be whatever happens.

A lot of questions will be answered this summer, such as our ambition, and cash available for team rebuilding.
