Got to be happy about that. Let's get VP rammed EVERY single game next season. We weren't far off last season. I just hope I can scrape the cash together before the renewal deadline. Be GUTTED to miss out on our Premiership Title winning season!!!!!!!!

Anyone know why season tickets are restricted to 26,000? Is it to do with possible FA Cup allocation for away fans? We must keep 4,000 back for league away support, plus I think 10% of your ground capacity must be available for 'sale on the day'. That's another 4,000. Capcity 42,000. Why can't we have, say, 30,000 maximum season ticket holders? Just interested if anyone knows why.

Season Tickets will not be restricted to 26,000. We are seeing more evidence of the marketing ability of the new set up. And long may it continue. If we could sell 35,000 ST's the club would do. With the sense of anticipation at the club right now, 30,000 should be the very minimum we should get. At the start of last season the club were hoping to get 29,000 ST holders for this season, as part of the long term plans, goals and strategy. I think they should now think about aiming higher than that. Should there be some good investment in the squad then I believe 35,000 is achievable this season. Then we can start having real waiting lists.

Season tickets have been restricted, full stop! One of the reasons is not to over sell % wise for capacity because of what has to be offered to opponents in the cups etc.

You have to offer opponents 15% of the total ground capacity for cup games. That is 6500 tickets of VP's 42500. Not all clubs take up the full allocation. Leaving 36000 for Villa supporters. So even if the club sold 35,000 ST's it wouldn't affect cup matches. I was in conversation with the club last year and was told that the target for ST's this season was 29,000. Whichever way we look at it the club is not going to let 10,000 seats remain unsold if they can guarantee the sale at the start of the season.

How times change! This is how things should be down VP way. The years of underselling the club, a total lack of marketing and of a forward thinking business strategy, they are all things of the past. We now have true, genuine professionals running the club. Does my heart a power of good I can tell you.
