Dear Kevin Keegan!

Dear Kevin Keegan!

Dear Kev (may I call you Kev?),

Let me first of all take this opportunity to congratulate you Kev, on what has been a fine season for the Magpies. You are such an amazing manager. They are so very lucky to have you back at the helm of what is such a fine club, Kev.

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is young_jonah and I am a follower of by far the greatest team the world has ever seen. Aston Villa, Aston Villa FC.

I am actually writing to you today to ask a favour really. This weekend is the biggest game of the season for us, we travel to West Ham, a fine team of fine players. If we win it may rectify a slight blip in our season which was last Saturday a game against a poor Wigan side that we decided to allow them to win 2-0.

If we win at West Ham, things may still be okay, if your mighty team defeat Everton at Goodison Park.

'Why should I help you?' I hear you ask. Well allow me to explain, we (the Aston Villa support) are a big fan of you Kev. In fact you may remember that during the game at Villa Park earlier this season we beat you 4-1, but instead of singing John Carew's name (the one that scored the hat-trick), we all sang, 'There's Only One Kevin Keegan' in honour of your great self.

We love you here in Birmingham, and if you help us out this weekend, then we will owe you one Kev.

Yours faithfully

young_jonah

p.s. Do you have any Right Backs?

Very funny, especially the bit about the Holte chanting Keegan's name during the 4-1 rout at VP! That said - and regardless of his managerial 'talents' - I once met King Kev and he's a top bloke!

I love the story that is often told about his perm saving his life! Apparently he was hit on the head with a baseball bat, and but for the springy perm cushioning the blow it could have been quite damaging! classic!

I don't think Blackburn will win at the Blouse. I know Blouse are a poor team but they aren't too bad at home.

I makes me laugh all this lets worry about Blackburn talk, Villa need to win, so lets bloody well win. That way all we need to worry about is Everton. Forget Blackburn our destiny for the Intertoto is in our hands not theres.
