Biggest Flag In The PL Ready To Be Unfurled

Biggest Flag In The PL Ready To Be Unfurled

The Villa have got the flag for the Holte End ready to unveil on Saturday in the massive European chasing match against Wigan Athletic.

As a support driven initiative, it is great to see that the club responded and helped get this project off the ground, if we'd all been left to it I reckon we'd still be arguing over the design !

In order for this to now work, those in the Holte upper and lower, have got to try to get fully involved because the flag is a whopper and is the biggest flag out of all the Premier League clubs.

Look at the size of it! It takes six men to carry it.

For its debut outing, the flag will be paraded in the Holte Lower.

So what can the fans do? In order for the flag to be unfurled the major thing that is needed is for the fans to be in their seats 10 - 15 minutes before kick off because due to the size/weight there is the need for a pretty full Lower Holte to proceed.

This is what is intended on match day:

Obviously the diagram shows the intended route across the Holte Lower. There will be people there to help co-ordinate this but they are also relying on the fans to make this work.

Looking forward to seeing this unfurled, it is something that has long been talked about amongst fans and now we've got it ready to display the Pride Of Birmingham for all to see!

Absolutely tremendous. We wanted it. The club have delivered it. Lets ensure that we make the most of it. If this works then it will give the owners confidence to work with fans on other supporter initiatives.

Typical Americans! Always trying to be the Biggest and Best. Not a bad thing for us of course! ;)

I'm lucky our away leg against Villa has past! The flag looks quite intimidating, to be honest! It's nice to see such great support. I hope it works. It's good to see fans and clubs working well together in an age when fans often feel deceived and betrayed by club owners.
Cheese.

It'll take more than a big flag to beat us on Saturday!

A flag? What next? Boards in a row that spell out players names like in Baseball. If this doesnt go wrong on Saturday I will be amazingly surprised!!! I am sat in the Holte Lower and will play my part to make it work as best it can. UTV

I applaud the club for this. Take a bow RL and all involved. Should be quite a spectacle.
