Villa Will Do All In Their Power To Keep Barry

Villa Will Do All In Their Power To Keep Barry

Villa director General Charles Krulak has said Villa will do all they can to keep Gareth Barry at the club but if he still feels he wants to go, they won't block him.

Now some fans will be angry at that stance but realistically, if a player has had his head turned (and I'm not saying Barry has) and from bitter experience with Dwight Yorke, we all know that player will get their own way, so it would be a sensible stance to not keep him against his will AS LONG as we get the fee that suits US not the club buying him!

The General, frequenter of our forum ( Click Here ) says:

'Obviously, we are keen to keep our captain - and we will do all in our power to keep him. But at the same time, he plays a huge part in this equation. At the end of the day, he needs to want to stay. The very worst thing we could do would be to try and hold onto a player who wants to leave.'

Adding 'I hope that we can show him that his future is, in fact, at Aston Villa. We will work hard to do just that.'

The People today claim that Arsenal are also now in the hunt for the Villa skipper along with Chelsea and Liverpool.

We shouldn't be talking about this subject until an offer comes in as I am sure it must be unsettling or at least give managers of other clubs ideas. Well out of order posting that gormless picture Fear, should only be his missus seeing that after she had fellatio'd

well Barry would be an idiot to leave, its MON who has made him the player he is, I hope it takes that into account. ***** take if he does go, how can any team outside the top 3 and liverpool ever manage to break that monopoly?? if players just leave , does my nut in rant over!

Its the right attitude and response from the club. They are handling the situation correctly, from the boardroom, through MON, down. Everyone wants Gareth to stay, but at the end of the day, if he has a mind to move on, then so be it.

He owes us nothing - he'd certainly move on with my best wishes.

i hope barry see the light, we have a very good chance to break the top 4 or at least breath down their necks more. Im sure the clubs in his heart, fingers crossed he signs! but agree that a player dont want to stay, no point keeping them
