Villa Reserves Edge Closer To Title

Villa reserves drew 1-1 with Chelsea last night. Nathan Baker equalised for Villa bringing them within just one point of the league title and if Reading don't beat Pompey in their match tonight, the boys will be out of reach of anyone, job done, game over...!

Villa face Arsenal at Villa Park on April 29 for their final game of the season.

Steve Sidwell, who is again being linked to a summer move to Villa played for the blues. Just shows, the grass isn't always greener moving to the likes of Chelsea where you either warm the bench or end up a reserve!

Villa: Taylor, Herd, Lowry, Osbourne, Clark, Baker, Salifou, Routledge, Williams, Bannan, Maloney. Subs: Delfouneso (on for Bannan 59), Parish, Albrighton, Forrester (on for Maloney 73), Lichaj (on for Herd 35).

Been a very good season for the reserves, particularly in view of the fact that so many of our youngsters have featured prominently.
