Arsenal Match Date Set

The home game against Arsenal, postponed from 24 February, will now be played on Wednesday March 14 with a 7.45pm kick off.

Great, I like night games, better atmosphere!

Nice easy week as we face Liverpool just four days later. 6 points in the bag there then.

bring em on. 2 weeks ago this would be a worrying prospect, think you are right mr fear 6 points in the bag.

If we frustrate both, confident we can get something from both fixtures...Everton frustrated them big time, although I dont like 4-5-1 with only one stiker on the pitch, when defending we will be 4-5-1 but with three stikers, on the break we could definately catch out there aging rear-guard! As for Benitez calling them a small club, what a *****, one of the founding members of the football league a small club? Go back to Spain you dip-*****.
Stig
dont agree I hate night time games we always lose
Christo
Easy six, eh? You're having a laugh you losers. You couldn't handle Charlton , how you are you going to handle the rampant Gooners? I will enjoy watching Cesc ran rings around your pathetic midfielders. *******s.
rads
just go!
morky13villa
I see rads is obviously one of the more intelligent gooners. Nothing like good natured healthy intelligent debate is there?
jonah
yep. If I wanted to debate with obnoxious gooners I can go on vital arse
morky13villa
Funny how we didnt hear rads, wonderful, intelligent observations when Olof scored the first ever goal at the Emirates and Arsenal were panicing. And they still couldnt beat us with our then poor strikers.

Does no one else think Sky Sports have too much power on KO Times?! 12:45 this weekend- will this affect our support?!
leelindsay
at least we can have a few pints b4 this one! I think we might need them!
leelindsay
that must realy hurt, the first prem goal at the emirates scored by an Aston Villa defender, priceless, King Olaf of the beard will allways have a special place in my heart for that one
steff_the_villan
well 3 o clock on a saturday is the best time for matches shown by our attendence on saturday but hey sky control football
meakers
What a wounder. The first ever goal at the stadium, in the official record books as Olof the Beard. Christo keep the faith about midweek. The Arse hate midweek matches, they are still likely to be involved in the Champions League and we will be playing them at just the right time. UTV
voiceoftheholte
i was in greece when melly scored that header at the emrates. priceless. man i drunk some boose that day in celebration lol.
Eaton_thevillafan
could be right VOTH we may beat them 2-0 and then SKY should finally say something nice about us
Christo
Guys, anyone know the answer to this one. How much is it to get into a reserve game down the Villa now?
Gazvilla
Its about time that we beat both of these teams at Villa Park. Dare I suggest no better time than the present?
glensider
January (I think) 1981, Villa 2 Liverpool 0 King Dennis netting the winner, I turned to a scouse sitting behind me in the Trinity road stand and said "we've got you this year mate" the rest is history. priceless!!
jonah
Slightly off subject, but why isn't there a cashpoint anywhere on VP? I was needing a burger on friday but arrived cashless with 15 minutes before kick off... the security bloke at the Village shop said they removed the cash point at christmas time, complaining that they needed to keep filling it up! Is it just me, or is this backwards logic? Surely the more cash drawn out of the cashpoint means the more cash spent at VP stands and stalls and shops etc? Mr Fear.. do you care to enlighten me on this subject? Oh and yeah i was delighted too when we went 1 -0 up at the emirates. Can't wait til the Arse visit next month.
The Usual Suspect
er, i mean saturday.
The Usual Suspect
Blimey that's one difficult week!
bmb
The Usual Suspect: mention it to the general on his thread.
jonah
Fanks Jonah. Did you mean the "Villa due a spruce up" thread? Or another one?
The Usual Suspect
Gazvilla. Zilch - if you've got a season ticket, about 2 without, I think.
Stevew
TUS: There is a general Krulak thread in the 100% football forum. the general goes on there regularly and he does respond to posters ideas and suggestions almost on a daily basis.
jonah
Thanks Jonah... i never make it past the front page of this site usually!
The Usual Suspect
You should do mate, there is some great stuff going on in the forums
jonah
Sorry lads but noone really cares about who scored the first prem goal at our magnificent new cathedral, a minor stat and nothin more, what will be remembered is the first team that beat us there, which hopefully won't be for a while yet.
