Villa Reserves Continue Title Push

The Villa reserves carried on their charge for the title with a 2-0 win over Portsmouth at Villa Park last night.

Ciaran Clark and Nathan Delfouneso both scored in the second half against a 10 man Pompey after Wilson was red carded in the 30th minute.

Villa now have 3 games to get just 2 points to win the league.

Salifou played the full 90 mins and former Spurs winger Wayne Routledge 75 mins as he looks to push for a first team place.

Villa: Taylor, Lund, Lowry, Osbourne, Clark, Baker, Salifou, Routledge, Williams, Delfouneso, Bannan. Subs: Forrester (replaced Routledge 75), Bevan, Albrighton (replaced Osbourne 81), Mikaelsson (replaced Delfouneso 86), Lichaj.

Get Delfouneso on the bench Martin, blood him in.
ASPINALL
Let Delfouesno develop in his own time. Dont rush him. He's still learning. Its way too early to consider him for the first team, even in a substitute roll.
