Brothers & Sisters - We Have Faith!

Brothers and sisters of Vital Villa, we have faith, we have faith.

(sorry)

Vital Villa asked:

How much faith do you have that Martin O'Neill is the right manager for Villa?

A massive 61% said they had 100% faith. Impressive figures indeed.

A further 22% said they had 75% faith, a few doubts but not many.

So basically MON is the messiah for 83% !

That left 8% yet to be convinced, 4% wanting to be asked again after January 2009, 3% have no faith in him and want an international manager.

2% were left sitting on the fence. Vital Football provide splinter ointment at a competitive rate for those on the fence but accept no liability at all should you fall. Just looked what happened to humpty dumpty messing around on that wall.... you've been warned. Fortunately for me, I've not yet been sanctioned!

It is surprising to see so many in support of him when you consider the posts in 100% Villa forum. Guess it shows that the doomers and gloomers have the loudest voices!!! I went for 75% behind him, i think it would be silly to be 100% behind him, that meaning that he can do no wrong? Give me a break. He has been poor in the transfer market and he never seems willing to drop players when they play below par, that said if he did bring some signing and depth, then, and only then, MON would he have the choice to drop players.

Yes, must admit I thought the majority would go 75%, must be nice to be a 100% er mind you! I change from game to game!!

Fair point about the postings in 100% YJ, but I would dare say that a lot of those who support MON would not be inclined to post their opinions on there due to the ridicule and battering they get off the dags, not that it should change, some people just need to grow a pair ; )

We have just had our dip in form at the wrong time it happens to every club every season yet only at villa will some of the fans start getting silly regarding the board or the manager it will still be happening when we are challengeing for a champions league spot in a couple of seasons time.Fact is we have improved on last season and thats all we can do is keep improving.

Who says it happens to every club every season? Another urban myth, this one spouted by MON normally pre-season, always good to have your excuses ready up-front. There is no reason at all why any team should have a dip in form at any time of the season. Apart, that is, from a club that has a woefully small squad due to the shambolic dealings in the transfer market by its manager so that those players who aren't actually injured are knackered.

Yes that is the point, I doubt there would be a dip in form if we had more 18 players to choose from, MON is to blame not the players on that one.

The fallaway this season is totally unacceptable when you take in to consideration the resources that have been available to prevent such a fallaway. Bad decision is better than indecision, and we are bearing the fruit of a pair of transfer windows laden with such indecision. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I love Villa with all my heart, and I have every finger crossed, every clover picked and every rabbits foot in hope that Mr O'Neill will deliver a squad capable of withstanding a football season's requirements without such disastrous burnout. Because if he doesn't, and we start next season with 2 maybe 3 more players than we have now, then mark my words - we'll be the laughing stock of the league.

Its still less of a fall off than the one we suffered last season, not as big mind you but with ten games to go it was poor timing.
