O'Neill Upset With Stuart Pearce

Martin O'Neill is going to formalise his complaints about the England U21 treatment of Craig Gardner.

According to the Daily Mail Gardner told the U21 bench early during the game that he had picked up a thigh strain but they played him for the rest of the first half v Poland.

O'Neill and Stuart Pearce clashed last year over Gabby Agbonlahor who didn't turn up for training and now Martin O'Neill is going to set up round two!

O'Neill told the Mail:

'Obviously we have missed Craig here for a few games. He has been pretty heavily involved in the Under-21s. He's semi-proved himself if that is the case.'

'The lad is as willing as the day is long. He misses now very important games for us and he could be missing for a month. I will speak to Stuart about it. Yes, I shall.'

Shouldn't we have signed a right back?

Chit happens and U21's have to just get on with it. MON rightly up-set but I hope this don't start a manager war.

The U21s have a bench, we don't, he was out of order

Say your piece Martin, then lets get on with it and move on. It keeps coming back to lack of quality options within the B6 squad I'm afraid. There's always going to be mid-week internationals and the risk of subsequent injuries, and that aint gonna change, no matter how long and loud we protest and complain about it.

Who could get upset for long with Pearcey, cheerful, chirpy, crafty cockney that he is?
