Villa Need Strength In Depth

Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by Benham,

What position do we need to strengthen the most?

The majority, with 50%, voted for stength in depth. Next up was the obvious lack of a right-back with 24%

The goalkeeper option got 14% with question marks over any possible permanent deal for Scott Carson and the fact that Thomas Sorensen will be off to goalposts a-new!

Other results:

5% Central midfield
5% Strikers
1% Central defence
1% Wingers

Our latest poll asks for your predictions for the game v Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Hard one to get for MON as decent players don't want to sit on the bench much if atall. Everyone knows that he has his favourites who will play until they are injured or play so badly that they have mysterious injuries or confidence lapses which prevent them from playing.

In MON's day, 20-30 years ago, you could win things with 14 players throughout the season. Fitness levels etc are totally different, we need to move into the 21st century.

my vote for tomorrow is a big gulp... but then whenever we get confident we lose, whenever we get dispondent, we pull a rabbit out of the hat (not that I agree with putting rabbits in hats you understand - just in case the rspca are reading)

I voted for a Villa win. Come on Villa! You Can Do It!!

Strength in depth. We all know it, does MON? There can be no excuses this summer. Lack of incoming transfer dealings is holding the club back, in a very big way. We cant be allowed to flatter, only to deceive again next season.

Whatever way we look at things, RL and MON have to be prepared to really splash the cash this summer.
