Villa Get Keeper 'Boost' ???

Villa Get Keeper 'Boost' ???

Apparently Villa have a 'boost' because on loan keeper Scott Carson is making a good recovery from his injury and should be fit to face Manchester United.

Is it a boost? You decide! Hmmm.

The Liverpool keeper had to pull out of England contention with a knee problem but the official site have a spokesman saying he should be ok for Old Trafford.

Taylor deserves a chance, absolutely.

I'll relate to the word 'boost' if Sir decides to rest nine or ten of his usual starters. Sadly Scotty Carson's recent form, and the fact that he should be between the posts on Saturday, fails to excite me, and most definitely doesn't give me a 'boost' ahead of the game.

I thought the injury was a 'convenient one' to save further embarrasment with England and give MON an opportunity to leave Scotty out. Obviously not. Taylor should start, but I still think in two or three years Carson will become a very good goalkeeper. He was excellent before Croatia. That game (when James should have played anyway) has knocked his career back, but I believe he will come good again. DJ didn't get the nickname 'Calamity' for nothing, and look at him now.

Poor Scott, what has happened to you, eh? Surprised kris hasn't posted here. He'll turn a "Villa Legends" thread into a "Scott Carson is crap" discussion :P

Loans are a bad idea all round, Liverpool have done us up like a kipper with this one. Even if Scott had been a resounding success, he'd have cost us 10m or they would have taken him back with a years experience (like Milner). Wasn't he just plan B because we didn't get Craig Gordon? Jussi Jaskellinan (like my spelling!) or another proven keeper should be top priority in the summer.

The best "boost" villa can have before the Man U game is that Carson goes back to Liverpool! Bye-Bye Scott......please. (PS can you take Zat with you ?)

MON can be so stubborn sometimes. Look how long it took to get petrov out of the squad. He won't start Marlon over Gabby, and won't let Carson take his well earned seat on the bench. For *****'s sake MON, what does it take? Bottom 10 of the table?
