With 2 points from 12, Gareth Barry has called on Villa to end our United jinx and get our season back on track.
It's been a disappointing period for us after what has been quite a successful season in terms of our placing in the league. Given recent results it is not the best time to be playing Man United, but as we've seen before this season - some of our best performances have been against the big boys. Our biggest struggle has been against teams we 'should' be very confident of taking all 3 points from.
Speaking on the official site, Barry said that Villa will go to Old Trafford with confidence and the team will be doing their best to come away with a share of the points.
'When you're playing against a team who you haven't beaten for a while, it's hard to get through it. Against the top four we've had a good record apart from Manchester United. But we're going up there to stop that.
'They're playing with a lot of confidence. They're up there; they're top of the league, so it will be tough again.
'Old Trafford is a ground where we have probably had more success against them than at Villa Park, because we've had a couple of draws up there.
'The game that sticks out for me was when we were so close to beating them before Forlan scored late on. This is another opportunity and we will go there with confidence.'
I can't see it myself, a good performance would be nice but I certainly won't be betting on getting any points.
Even if we hadn't fouled up the last few matches I wouldn't fancy our odds of getting anything from United at the moment.
