Oh for the love of all things football, can there be no decency and respect shown towards fans?
I did an article the other day saying that the Manchester United v Villa game had been moved from the Sunday to Saturday 29th March at 3pm.
Our official site still has the match down as a 3pm in the fixture list, has no time in the ticket details list and the Manchester United site have us down as playing at 12 midnight. I figure that is probably wrong but who knows, if the tv said it should be played then I'm sure everyone would fit in...! Don't believe me? Click Here !
Then others are saying that Setanta were going to show the game which was originally pencilled in for Sunday 30th (and still listed as such on their site) and that they are trying to get it for tv at 5:15pm and others that are under the impression it might be screened but at midday.
Surely someone, somewhere must know what time the kick off is and surely someone somewhere must have a bit of respect left for fans who have to book their travel to get to the game? Either that or shall we just turn up at say 9am and all wait for the powers that be to make up their minds?
Once again, the only people losing out are the faithful fans.
I'll do my best to get confirmation from our end as to what the exact time is for this game but surely the point should be that any fixture changes should have to be done within a reasonable set time and that the changed fixture should then be set in stone and should not be able to be moved yet again. I have mates who regularly travel up from London for these games and they have to make arrangements for travel and are often then left having to try to change their train tickets etc. As I said in the opening line, is it too much to ask to have some respect shown towards the fans?
In the modern day game I guess we already know the answer to that.
