Back The Villa Youth On Wednesday

Martin O'Neill has called for Villa fans to get down to Villa Park on Wednesday to give the Villa Youth a cheer on against Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup semi final, currently tied at 1-1.

Coach Tony McAndrew said: 'Hopefully the fans will turn out in numbers for that game.' and now the Villa boss has joined in saying on the official site:

'I'm sure our lads will give it a real go and if the crowd comes out in force at Villa Park to cheer them on, that would be great. It will be fantastic if they do it. The attitude of the players is absolutely fantastic, which is great credit to the people running it such as Bryan Jones, Tony McAndrew and Steve Burns.'

Adding, 'It will be a great boost for the players and if you're looking for justification for the backroom staff involved, it's great for them too. I wouldn't want to put pressure on the players, but it's their FA Cup and it evokes great excitement.'

if Nathan Delfanso has a good game on wednesday, then maybe he could be on bench on saturday and give gabby a rest.
