Man Of The Match v Arsenal

Man Of The Match v Arsenal

Vital Villa asked for your votes for our man of the match v Arsenal.

I think for the first time, on loan Liverpool keeper Scott Carson has been voted 'da man' (see, I'm down with the kids and very 'street') with 35%.

John Carew was next up with 24%

The rest:

Gabby Agbonlahor (12%)
Martin Laursen (12%)
Gareth Barry (5%)
Wilfred Bouma (3%)
Shaun Maloney (2%)
Ashley Young (1%)
Nigel Hokey-Cokey (1%)
Curtis Davies (1%)
Craig Gardner (1%)
Zat Knight (1%)
Marlon Harewood (1%)
Isaiah Osbourne (1%)

Our latest poll asks who is your man of the season SO FAR as suggested by benham?

Ashley Young. When he is out, he is genuinely missed and it shows. Gareth Barry has not had the greatest of seasons, but that may be because he has better players around him than in recent years and he just doesn't look that much better than the rest. As a comedy vote, I'd go for Petrov, or as he will be known in the summer, Petr-off.

Player of the season for me, same as Real Neil, Ashley. Showed how good he is by his absence v Fulham. Great prospect. Also Martin Laursen, a total rock and goals as well. Ah bugger, now I'm conflicted, which one, which one?!?

Fear I suggest a joint one, Laursen and Young players of the year, cos they both been outstanding, I think young will be even better next season after learning a huge amount this season

What's the mater n17 - feeling a touch bad-tempered since the weekend? If you can't even beat Birmingham's losers, how do you think you'll do against a decent side? :o)

I'm a bit nosy here. Voted for Scott Carson in the match against us. But for MotS for you guys, from the 10-odd games I saw, it's Laursen. And you guys think Young's been doing better than Agbonlahor (who I think is outstanding)?

Young has been better than agbonlahor I personally think, his delivery and attacking threat has edged agbonlahor, who has been showing much improvement, his pace is always a threat, I just think young is a clever player. Laursen is a class act . Sub of the season goes to mighty Marlon!
